GOOGLE FIBER Service to be Installed in India??

Many take the title as joke because any one who have a basic knowledge in the Internet will laugh after telling that Google fiber is coming to India in present "Polly-Tricks".

But going by the latest developments in the Government ,it is very keen to get the last mile in making the country connected.

In late 2010,Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) proposed the National Broadband plan(NBP) ,a project that aims to use Rs.600 billion investment to bring high speed connectivity to 160 million households.Under this NBP,The Bharath Broadband Network limited(BBNL) is set up to complete this Project in the Gram Panchayats and rural areas across India.

Though the project went off well but failed to reach the Target it was meant for but it is hopeful to meet all demands by the end of 2015.

But what this has to do with the Google "Fiber" Service in India??

The recent successful implementation of Google "Fiber"Service in one of the US city grabbed every one's Attention.

Google Fiber service comes with a blazing speed of 1 GB\sec with a modest cost of around $70(which is app.Rs.3,800/mnt).While the price may be a bit more for today but going with the trend in today's world people are looking for a trusted ISP(Internet Service Providers) rather than money which is a few Bucks more.

Looking at the present day's Data-Plans provided by the different ISPs that have started offering high speed plans to homes which are more based on the FUP(Fare Usage Police)which allows the user to have high speed to a certain point and then slowing it considerably after reaching the maximum point.With the Steep pricing and FUP there is considerable eager for the Internet users looking for some alternatives to have trusted Connections.

The Most popular Internet plan today is 1Mbps,which costs around 800-1000 depending the locality.

Apart form pricing,Most of this High speed Internet plans are available in some Urban centers and some tire-1 cities making the reach of the ISP even more difficult.And adding to more to the Voes of the ISP the presence of local operators don't allow the new entrants in there market.So there is always a problem with some one offering the same speed with Rs.10 less with less quality making the Internet connections still have slow and low quality

Looking all this and the current scenario in India it is obvious that some one is looking at "Google fiber" but in reality does the same system work with India??Do the Cost Minded Mid-Class Indian society ready to accept the change in there ISP ???

With many more factors impacting the result it is hard to say that Google Fiber service will available only after 2020?? or our leaders take the gamble ??
